Weeks 4–8 · Student materials
DC student lab guides
Open the student slides or circuit challenges in your browser. Weeks 6–8 have one core lab each night, with optional work when time permits.
Try each schematic before advancing to its breadboard view. Record predictions before measurements. Pause for the instructor’s wiring and meter checks.
Week 8 · Chapter 8
Magnetism
Map a bar magnet field with a compass, then compare plastic and a steel keeper.
Week 7 · Chapter 7
DC circuit analysis
Build a voltage divider and measure what changes when its output supplies a load.
Week 6 · Chapter 6
DC combination circuits
Build one series-parallel circuit each night. Use the schematic, breadboard and probe guide to test your predictions.
Week 4 Nights 1–2 · Chapter 4
Series circuits
Resistor checks, variable resistance, series current, voltage division, power and troubleshooting. The LED and potentiometer activities belong to this chapter.

Five build, measure and calculate tasks with optional walkthroughs, wiring schematics and breadboard help.
Week 5 Nights 1–2 · Chapter 5
Parallel circuits
Parallel branch voltage and current, equivalent resistance, unequal branches, an open branch and power. Use one two-AAA pack and three 220 Ω resistors.
